Dance Styles

We deliver lessons in six dance styles and their subsequent IDTA examinations.

Dance Disciplines

Our classes are grouped by age and level to help every dancer progress with confidence. From first steps to graded work, each pathway prepares students for the next stage in a fun and encouraging environment.

BALLET

Ballet develops posture, balance, coordination, and flexibility through precise, controlled movement. Its discipline strengthens focus and body awareness, while its expressive nature allows dancers to tell stories through motion.

A strong ballet foundation enhances all dance styles and boosts confidence, stage presence, and graceful carriage.

TAP

Tap is a rhythmic, percussive dance style where dancers create music with their feet. It sharpens rhythm, timing, and musicality while building coordination, strength, and agility through fast, precise footwork.

Learning tap combinations boosts memory and focus, and the high-energy classes offer a fun cardio workout.

ACROBATIC DANCE

Acrobatic Dance fuses classical dance technique with acrobatics, blending grace and artistry with strength and athleticism. Dancers learn skills such as aerials, walkovers, balances, and handsprings, all integrated smoothly into choreography.

Training emphasizes safety, control, and seamless transitions while building full-body strength, flexibility, and stability.

FREESTYLE

An expressive style that blends modern, jazz, commercial, and lyrical dance elements. It focuses on individuality, creativity, and dynamic movement, allowing dancers to develop their own style while building strong technique.

Freestyle improves flexibility, stamina, coordination, and musicality. Dancers learn kicks, turns, leaps, and expressive arm lines, all choreographed to music from pop to lyrical.

CONTEMPORARY MODERN JAZZ

Contemporary Modern Jazz blends the grounded power of modern dance, the fluid expression of contemporary, and the rhythm and energy of jazz. It develops strength, flexibility, musicality, and emotional artistry.

Dancers move through fluid floorwork, dynamic jumps, and expressive phrases, learning to interpret music with creativity and nuance. This style builds confidence, reduces stress, and enhances performance skills.
